This review is concerning two sources on women doctors;  one book is about a woman doctor of the 1800s and is reviewed and compared to a source about a women doctors of the 1990s. The topic chosen for this paper is women doctors. You should be sure to apply your information accordingly and expound upon it using this source as a model  only. ABOUT THE BOOKS The two sources chosen  for this historiographical review represent the differences and similarities faced by women doctors of two different centuries. Both emphasize the fact that women doctors have an inordinately more difficult  time being accepted than do male doctors. Amazingly, that much has not changed within the scope of a century. Dr. Mary Rowland, practicing medicine in the late 1800s  and early 1900s found it a particularly difficult career to pursue because of the prejudice against a woman doctor. She seems somewhat philosophical about it all because that is  what was expected in that time period. It was very unique indeed to have a woman doctor. At one point during her career Dr. Rowland discovered that a butchers  helper had some eruptions on his face. Examining these spots, she suspected smallpox and immediately had him quarantined and advised the butcher to quarantine his shop for some time
