It is has been formed by two frinds, both of whom have been working in  the toy industry for many years. Scotty and Kirk. They has come across the idea of tribbles when looking at some cuddly toys in a toy shop when Scotty took  his niece there. They bought one and took it home, Scotty then opened it up and made some alterations. He changed the toy from a simple soft stuffed toy, to  one, than when petted would purr in the same was as a cat, and this would be accompanied by a slight vibration. The novel part of the toy was that  it did not require batteries, it worked on the same principle has Scotty old kinetic watch, it build up energy from the everyday movement. When his nieces family and friends  had seen it they all loved it, and the parents thought that it was wonderful that there were no batteries that needed to be changed. They asked him why he  did not make these commercially. He spoke to Kirk, who had a good business brain, and they undertook some market research, which indicated not only did the parents love them,  that the toy shop owners also loved them, thinking they would be a hit. Kirk worked out some costs, and they decided to go into business. With Kirks business  brain they even had contracts to satisfy before they had entered full scale production. They chose a medium sized factory space, it was the location that was important. It was  near the suppliers for both the soft materials and packaging materials for the toys, in addition they were near the port where the kinetic motors were to be imported. The
