It is from these companies that innovations are more likely to emerge, in order to compete  with the larger established companies this is required form the to be successful. If we examine a company such as Dyson, this can be shown to be a typical entrepreneurial  company that succeeded despite the opposition of the competition, and is now a company that is smaller than its competitors, but commands a good market share and a high brand  image. Dyson is a company that began in 1993 with the design of a new and revolutionary bagless vacuum system, starting as a small business when the excising companies failed  to take up the opportunity to work with the founder. Today the company is a very successful company. In looking at  the entrepreneurial process the way that Dyson developed can be applied and understood more comprehensively. Looking at the model the first stage of the entrepreneurial process is for the  idea. There needs to be not only an idea, but one that fulfils a market need. An idea alone is not enough (Streeter, 2002).There needs to be an examination of  the market. To see if this is one that the idea may fit into commercially. Considerations need to look to see if is there any existing method of fulfilling  this need in the market, for example, in an unsatisfactory solution, or is there a problem in the market due to lack of capacity, meaning that a new company will  find demand is already existing unsatisfied (Streeter, 2002).
