    Summary of the research paper:

This 5 page paper is a case study provided by the student. The firm has five auditors and five clients with a range of distances between them. Each auditor has to visit each firm in a five month period. This paper looks at the way in which the best arrangement for the auditors could be detained using simulation and the way a change to the auditors would impact on the initial results. The bibliography cites 4 sources.

five bean counters to visit their major five clients in order to ensure there are no discrepancies in each company. One auditor is allocated to each company for a month.  The problem is to determine the best way of calculating which auditor, or bean counter, should attend which company each month is order to maximise the resources and reduce the  costs of travelling. The information given is not geographical, we are only told the distance of each auditor from each client so there is not potential to triangulate. We also  know the auditors must change each month. There are several ways in which this may be approached depending on the way the company want to arrange this. For example,  if there are five auditors and five clients, and each auditor has to move between the clients. If the auditors return home at the end of each month before moving  onto the next client the actual order the clients are visited by each auditor will be immaterial by the end of a five month period assuming all auditors have to  visit all the clients. However there would be the ability to even out the costs so there were not very high cost months and then very low cost months. However,  if not all auditors have to visit all companies then an alternate approach may be taken where there are a range of rotations. This would then look to the use  of scenario analysis. If we make the assumption that all auditors need to visit all clients, and that they do not return home at the end of each month,  simply move onto the next client then there is a different scenario. To consider which is the best order of visiting and the ability of the company to reduce
