And it can be said quite emphatically that mankinds persistence in recording his thoughts and feelings have enabled future generations to continue to  develop a broader emotional vocabulary and educational base from which to draw from. Does language have power? You bet. It is this power that those in the areas of economics,  business and finance have learned to embrace and use to their advantage. With this in mind, then, one would have to state that the mind is the real power  behind the language. Without the mind to believe and embrace the ideas of the words and meanings behind the words, the words, themselves, are meaningless. A good example is foreign  language. If a story is read in a foreign language, then only those who understand that language will be moved or inspired. Many have claimed that this is the case  with the specialized jargon of the business and financial worlds. However, it is not the language that inspires, but rather the minds understanding and interpretation of what is being said.  Language, whether it is used in the business, financial, economic, or personal arenas is our most fundamentally human capacity, yet it represents one of our most intricate behaviors. The  field of linguistics explores the nature of human language and languages, seeking to describe what human languages are like, how languages develop and change, and how people learn and use  language. Additionally, since language tends to become so specialized, with its own set of rules, jargon and culture, if one is  to understand and interact on a frequent basis in one of these areas there needs to be a basic understand of the relationship between language, thought and culture, and the
