Introduction In evaluating the Dell Corporation as a case study, many things can be said. Dell is an  industry leader and its products are well known. Michael Dell is an icon in the industry and while perhaps he is not as well known as Bill Gates, the personal  computer industry seems to love Dell and its leadership. That said, after years of continual growth, it has slipped a bit in the past year or so. Its marked growth  is slowing and investors have lost money already. At the same time, it does not appear to be losing a great deal of ground, despite its financial problems. Also, with  its track record, it is not likely that Dell will lose in the long term. Yet, Dell employees and investors will have to hold on until Dell can come back  again and demonstrate its prowess. To its credit, it is not the only company doing poorly in this industry and also, it has taken steps toward expansion. Dell can really  come back and fight another day. Before drawing conclusions about Dells positive and negative elements, it is prudent to evaluate the company through taking a look at its history, what  it is doing now and conducting a variety of analyses.
