As in the paper on the psychological assessment in the clinical practice, one would want to  perhaps have an introduction that looks something like this: Were one to look up the definition of counselor one would find that the actual definition would include the giving of  advice. However, this is a bit simplistic when utilized in the context of a clinical practice, because a clinical psychologist does more than give advice. He or she assesses and  studies quite a few facets and a multitude of criteria which then factor into that advice and recommended course of action or intervention. But how does one arrive at such  a conclusion? Psychological assessments. Having thus stated the main crux of the paper, the student will then need to go on to begin to lay out the main body of  the paper. Since clinical testing can run the gambit of applications, that would seem the best place to start. The transitional paragraph, then, might look something like the following:  The advice given, one would hope, should come from either the persons own experience in the matter, or a combination of observed behaviors  that have been analyzed utilizing criteria from an educational background and study in the field of psychology. However, the last element that goes into the constitution of a counselor is  that hidden aspect of self, that part that makes one an individual. This can add so much to the overall effectiveness that a counselor has with a client or student,  however, it can also be detrimental if the individuals behaviors and attitudes reflect a personal bias or prejudice. Psychological assessments consist of questionnaires and procedures used to gather information
