There are also some non-profit making recruitment and job agencies starting up,  such as NACElink.com, aimed at undergraduates and new graduates (Tischelle, 2003). 2. Monster.com has many strengths that a company itself may not have. Recruiting using wide scale advertising may attract  a great number of candidates suitable for a variety of jobs. Therefore, with large campaigns such as the Superbowl, they are able to gain the economies of scale. The company  would be very limited when hiring a few staff, they would not be able to reach the same advice on the same scale or gain the same level of response.  It is also possible that the recruitment company may also have greater professional knowledge of the recruitment processes and assessment of staff for short listing. The internet also has fewer  geographical barriers. 3. Monster.com is a recruitment agency, they are not a personnel agency. They may never meet many of the staff they have on their books looking for work.  They operate on the internet with a lower level of face to face connection made. 4. As an internet based company Monser.com may not be well placed for the placement  of some occupations, especially those where there is no element of technology and older candidates are required. The need to go on line may also out off some applicants, sending  sensitive information over the internet. Some company may see this as a limitation. The medium may be off putting and the mode of operation may be seen as impersonal, as  may the fact that they company does not meet with the potential employees on its books. American Express 1.
